The main character is a simple worker who works part-time. An accident happens to him as a result of which he dies. But suddenly, for his kindness, he has a chance to be reborn in another world. He thought that in the new world he would become a magician or a hero, but he was reborn as a "brick worm" – a creature at the bottom of the food chain.
